I was going through our desk and found a CD with Molly's 2 year old pics on them. So now she is 2.75 and I still have not printed one of the pictures from this session. Oops! They weren't my favorite pics of her, but they are still documenting her milestones, so I thought I would share...
It amazes me how much she has changed in just 8 months. Wow. Kids grow up too fast.
The church we've been attending has been doing a great series titled "Our Family Fights" and last Sunday was the seventh and final sermon. Joel and I have really enjoyed this series, but especially this particular message "Fight to Send Your Kids Off the Right Way".
Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like sharp arrows in a warrior's hands. Psalm 127:3-4 (NLT)
Of course we all view our children as a gift and a reward from God, but I never thought of Molly as an arrow. He explained that it is our job to prepare them for adult life. We can either warp and break a child or sharpen and strengthen a child. He then gave us this quote:
"The me you see, is the me I will be." --Rev. Adrian Rogers
I'd never heard the quote before but I really like it! I hope I can always see the good in my kiddos so I'm not hindering them from being their best! Really this would apply to everyone I come into contact with.
Ok, done with my sermon.

Celebrate Your Princess
My neighborhood hosted the "Celebrate your Princess" event on Saturday, so we decided to bundle up and support the cause! We really enjoy doing any type of walk/run as a family, but this one was near and dear to my heart. Most everyone knows someone that has dealt with breast cancer, but it really hit my family this past year as my Grandma Bunny was diagnosed and went through treatment. With the power of prayer and her positive attitude, the treatment was successful and relatively easy on her. But cancer still sucks. One of my favorite pics of this awesome woman...
Donna and Bill came to visit this weekend and joined us in the walk! Afterwards they had several activities set up for the participants. Some pics of our morning...
Thanks Donna and Bill for visiting and doing the breast cancer walk with us. We had fun while you were her!

Scarecrow Festival
My neighborhood had a Scarecrow Festival this past weekend. So Mom, Dave, MollyPop, and I headed out. We decorated pumpkins, ate snow cones, learned how to Bollywood dance, and had fun with friends! Here are some pics...

Documenting Life: A Posed Shot (Week 52)
Yay! I finally remembered to get Molly to "pose". She doesn't like to look at the camera while getting her picture taken (or stand still), so trying to get a posed shot has been hard. It's not the best shot of my sweet girl, but it does complete the Documenting Life Challenge I have been doing for the last year or so. Hopefully I find another fun idea soon to help me document these special MollyPop Moments. Any suggestions???

Some moments...
Just thought I would share some moments with my Mollypop so far this month...
We went to the mall playground and Molly and this boy were playing together. He kept wanting to hold her hand. Looks we're not the only ones who thinks she's pretty. :) |

San Antonio Trip through Instagram
Joel had a conference in San Antonio this week, so Molly and I tagged along to use his free hotel room and do some sight seeing on our own. We had a great time! It was a spur of the moment decision to go, and needless to say, I forgot my camera. So I decided to use Instagram to make my cell phone shots of our trip a little bit more fun.
Somehow in our travels, I ran over a huge bolt that extended out time in San Antonio a few more hours. Thankfully, when I noticed my tire was quickly deflating, there was a tire shop not too far away that put my donut on. We were also able to get a brand new tire on my car (since mine couldn't be patched) and still make it home by bedtime. Not exactly how I planned the day, but it could've been a lot worse. The good Lord was watching over us, yet again!
Hope you have a great Wednesday!

Trip back to Oklahoma!
Last week we went to Oklahoma for my mom's birthday, the duck blind drawing (yeah, my hubby's a redneck), TU football game, and a chance to visit with everyone. Molly, Moose, and I were gone a week; Joel was only in for the weekend. We ran like crazy for the time we were there and saw as many people as we could. We LOVE Oklahoma, but learned that we also love our home in Texas. It was good to be home. Here are some pics from our whirlwind trip...
First a trip to Papa Dino's and Grandma Carrot's Lake!
Friday night we had a birthday party for Mimi (my mom). My lil fam, Mom, Dave, Jeff, Carrie, Drake, and Grandma and Grandpa Bunny came to celebrate!
Along with many other stops, we had to go to Coffeyville. Molly thinks this is one of the greatest places on Earth. Not for the town itself, but for the people there. I agree with her!
We'll be back in November and are already looking forward to a fun visit!

We had to take a boat ride immediately! |
It was a beautiful day on the lake! |
I love this kid! I want him...or one like him since his parents won't give him to me (yes, I've asked)! |
I'm so thankful I have this kid! She is everything I ever wanted in a daughter, red tongue and all. |
Mimi loves these kids too! |
Mimi with all her kiddos... my bro and I bring out the dork in each other. |
Gotta love naked babies! |
They have some good conversations... |
