Documenting Life: The room you spend the most time in (Week 29)

I'm combining 2 posts... I've been meaning to write about our new house for awhile now, but kind of forgot about it. As most of you know, we bought a new house in October in BA.
We were living in a 800 sq ft, one bedroom home (with a huge shop for storage), and bought a 2700 sq ft home. OMG! We have space! It's funny cause we still only use about 1500 sq ft of it. Anyway, we needed help with furnishing and decorating all this space so we begged Joel's Aunt Sharon to come help us. She agreed and brought one of her friends. Both of these women have fabulous homes in the Fort Worth area and know how to decorate on a budget. We jokingly called them Big and Little Martha (Stewart). Joel and I gave them some money and turned them loose. They did an AWESOME job! Other than the furniture, they got everything at inexpensive stores like Big Lots, Hobby Lobby, Garden Ridge, Tuesday Morning, Walmart, Target, TJ Max, Ross, and Marshall's. In 2 days look at all they did...

Pretty bare! I was clueless as to what to do with these huge, tall, blank walls.

And to go along with the Documenting Life Challenge, this is the room we spend the most time in. :)
