Birthday Questionnaire!

I've seen on Pinterest these birthday questionnaires so I thought I'd give it a try for Molly this year.  It was hilarious.  She really thought about the questions...holding her little pointer finger to her mouth, saying "hmmm".  And these are not hard questions.  On some of them, she didn't even give me the real answer.  I mean c'mon, I know this girl and what she likes!  Anyway, here's the questionnaire with her answers.  My input is in the parentheses.

1. What is your favorite color? pink (but not too long ago it was purple)
2. What is your favorite toy? horses and ponies
3. What is your favorite fruit? strawberries
4. What is your favorite tv show? Strawberry Shortcake, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Doc McStuffins (we just got over the Dora stage- I thought that would never happen, but I'm happy about it)
5. What is your favorite movie? Cherry Jam
6. What is your favorite thing to wear? wedding dress (we found a pink little flower girl dress at the thrift store that she wants to wear constantly)
7. What is your favorite animal? horse
8. What is your favorite song? The Lucky One (but it's really Here I Am from the Princess and the Popstar album)
9. What is your favorite book? Winx Club book
10. Who is your best friend? Mikylin, her babysitter (but usually it's Taylor)
11. What is your favorite snack? suckers (and ok, she never has these!  really it's fruit snacks)
12. What is your favorite drink? fruit punch (no, it's not- it's chocolate milk)
13. What is your favorite breakfast? cereal (again, no- it's chocolate gravy with biscuits)
14. What is your favorite lunch? grilled cheese with oranges
15. What is your favorite dinner? oranges (promise I give her good dinners-geez!)
16. What is your favorite game? Candyland (yeah, we've played once and it was a disaster)
17. What is your favorite thing to play outside? Running
18. What is your favorite holiday? Valentine's Day (pretty sure that's because it was the last one we had so it's still fresh on her mind)
19. What do you sleep with at night? Dr. Sood and Dream Light (Just for clarification...Dr. Sood is a blanket, not a person!)
20. What do you want to be when you grow up? get married (we're hoping she develops a little more ambition as she gets older!)
21. What are you doing on your birthday? having a princess ball

Weight: 29.6 lbs
Height: 38 inches

I hope I remember to do this again next year!  Since this blog is basically my baby book, it'll be fun to look back years from now and see how her answers have changed.

My Girl is 3!

MollyPop's birthday is today and she is turning 3!  I can tell she's getting older... her imagination runs wild, she's potty-trained, she really cares what she wears, she understands more of my feelings, she says her prayers, she'll play longer with older kids, she likes popular music, she reads me books, she picks flowers, and the list goes on...

She makes me laugh daily and just wants to have fun!  I often think to myself that I want to be more like her.  I just love her outlook on life... she is definitely a glass half full kind of gal!  She never meets a stranger and puts a smile on everyone's face that she comes in contact with.

I've really needed her lately.  With Joel gone more than he is home, this little girl and I have seriously bonded down here in TX by ourselves.  There are days that I'm just plain sad and get to feeling sorry for myself because I haven't seen my husband in 2 weeks, but she doesn't let me stay in my pity party for long.  I need her right now and I thank God every night for the sweet blessing he gave me.

So HaPpY BiRtHdAy MOLLYPOP!  Your momma loves you more than you'll ever know!

We have a fun day planned today!  I'll post pics later on!

"All the Single Ladies"

Molly's neighborhood friend shared with her the video to "All the Single Ladies" by Beyonce.  Well since then, Molly thinks Beyonce is pretty cool because she dances and wears a ponytail.  Molly and her friend like to dance along with the video.  It's pretty hilarious!

Here's a link to the actual video with Beyonce so you can see what they're trying to do:

Here's a link to the girls dancing along with the video:

So a funny story to go along with this... We recently met a pretty black lady that was wearing a ponytail. Molly's first question, "I like Beyonce.  Do you?"  I turned about 10 sheets of red I'm sure.  It just cracks me up how MollyPop's brain works.  She was really trying to relate to our new friend and she thought Beyonce was a good thing to bring up.  Oh kids... gotta love 'em!
