Happy Father's Day!

Mollypop and I are lucky to have some really great guys in our life!  And an abundance of them... she has 6 grandpas and they all adore her!  Unfortunately she didn't get to spend today with her daddy (due to his work) but we still enjoyed the day at Grand Lake with my dad.  Here are some pics of her with her favorite men...
Papa Dave at Molly's Princess Ball
Papa Dino doing his favorite thing!
Papa Bill doing is favorite thing too!  :)
My Grandpa Bunny!

And the most important man in our lives...
Molly loves her daddy!

Happy Father's Day guys!  You are loved very much!

Galveston Island

Mom and "Gigi" (her friend Gina) came for a quick vacation since school was out, so we headed to the beach for an overnight stay!  We really enjoyed our day on the beach, our evening on the pier, and shopping downtown the following morning.
Not the pretty blue water we want, but it's still the ocean so we're happy!

Double decker carousel!

These were the cutest little bumper cars ever!
We rode the Ferris Wheel that was huge!  I was a little uneasy when we stopped at the very top, but not Molly.  She said, "Can I get on your shoulders!?"  She's not a fraidy cat...  ;)
Of course, you have to buy an over-priced bag of cotton candy!
Walking along the beach the next morning.
Our hotel!  We loved being right on the beach!
Thanks for coming Mom and Gigi!  We had fun!

Now that we've checked out Galveston, we'll be good tour guides to whoever wants to come visit!  :)

Happy Mother's Day!

I LOVE my momma!  She's my sounding board, my cheerleader, my comfort zone, my advisor, my protector, my audience, my best friend.  I wanted a daughter so badly so I could be all these roles to my little girl.  Now that I have MollyPop, I strive to do the best job I can, just like my mom.  The three of us are pretty tight.... we love to travel, shop, play, dance, sing, and just be together.  Thanks mom for being such an extraordinary role model to me!

And ya know, my mom had a pretty awesome role model to learn from.  My Grandma Bunny is the best in my book!  She's loved by all and I hope I can be like her when I grow up.

And one more shout out... for the past 11 years I have had Donna in my life.  I hate to keep bragging, but she truly is the best mother-in-law I could've asked for.  Not everyone gets to consider their MIL, as one of their closest friends.  Of course, we have Molly right there with us when we're together and always have a fun time!

I feel extremely blessed to have all these incredibly strong, beautiful, loving ladies in my life to help mold me into the best woman I can be.  There are many others that influence and encourage me daily as well... my sisters (in law), my stepmom, our aunts, our grandmas, and many many girlfriends along the way.  Keep up the good work ladies!  It's the hardest and most important job we'll ever do!

Love you all so much,
Jen

Girls Weekend in Canton!

Molly and I hit up Canton Trade Days often cause my MIL and her sister have a booth there. Molly likes to work in the booth, shop a little, and talk with the vendors. I enjoy seeing family and getting to shop (sometimes by myself!). This past weekend we met my mom, her friend Gina, and my friend Jessica there for a fun girls' weekend. We had a great time!! Here are some pics...

Hangin out in the cottage!

MollyPop LOVED the rides!
Especially this one... she laughed the whole time!
For some reason she always wants me to take her picture by this statue...

We had a great time!  I'm already looking forward to our next girls' weekend!  :)

Hey, and if you're interested, my MIL's booth is called Moore Galore.  They make custom made shower curtains and coordinating towel sets.  They're website is www.mooregalore.com.  Here's an example...

Life Lessons

Last night we hit on two lessons: Chores and Lying

Scenario 1:
We were making cookies for our small groups.  She helped make the cookies and then I made her help with the dishes and load a few things in the dishwasher.  When we were done she asked for her money.  I asked her what she got money for???  She said for helping me do the dishes.  I asked where she learned that???  She said Team Umizoomi (a cartoon on Nickelodeon).

Scenario 2:
Molly is potty trained, but sometimes we mess up with #2.  So at Kroger, I could tell she was strugglin' with it.  I asked if she needed to go to the bathroom and she said no.  We were about done so I just thought we'll deal with it when we get home.  Once we were home, I asked if she needed to go. She said no, but I could tell there was a little bit in her panties.  So I asked if she already went in her panties and she said no.  I told her that she would not get in trouble if she had an accident but she would get in trouble for lying.  So I asked her again if she pooped in her panties.  Again, she said no.  Well she was wanting a few marshmallows, so I told her if I found poop in her panties she would not get the marshmallows.  Molly went to bed with no marshmallows.

So the life lessons learned in our house last night...

1)  You have to clean up your mess.  Cleaning up is not worthy of a reward, it's just the right thing to do.

2)  It doesn't do you any good to lie, cause at the end of the day you will still have poop in your pants.  And no marshmallows.  :)

And who am I kidding... I'm not that mean of mom.  She did get a cookie!

Ballet Recital!

Y'all there is seriously nothing more precious then to see a line of little ballerinas that all look like this:

MollyPop was an awesome dancer at her first recital.  I asked if she was nervous and she said no.  She was just excited and wanted to perform longer!  I love my little ballerina!  Of course, you are not allowed to take any pics during the recital, but here are some ones afterwards...

Happy Monday!
