My ballerina

Well, we are halfway through our first year of ballet class and she's doing pretty good!
Class party.  Mollypop's chillin'!
This is her Donkey Kick.  It's not one they learn in class, but she thinks it's a pretty awesome move!
They had a Christmas program.  Here are a few pics from that day.
Getting ready on stage.
Happy the show went good!  :)
She loved having Mimi and Papa here to watch her big debut!
And here's a link to the video if you want to watch Mollypop dance.  And yes, she includes her infamous Donkey Kick!

Just some random pics...

I need some new ideas to prompt me with my blogs. I enjoyed the Documenting Life Challenge and would like to find something similar to that to help me share Mollypop's life.  Please send ideas my way if you got any. So in the meantime, here are some random pics over the last few weeks!

NYE Party!!  It was wild and crazy... but a different kind of wild and crazy since we have kids now. :)
"Happy New Year!"
New church outfit!
Shopping for shoes!  Yes, she wears her crown in public.  lol.
Fancy clip-on earrings.  I love the $1 Jewelry Store.
Watching a basketball with Papa Dino and Grandma Carrot!
We went to find these two and this is what they were doing.
It's a rare occasion for both of these kids to be still and by themselves!
Our new Kroger has kids shopping carts.  This is brilliant!  Molly loved helping me!
The weather has been awesome lately, so why wouldn't you wear your leotard to the park?!

Progressive Dinner and The Husbands Suck Up

We decided to have a neighborhood progressive dinner.  There are five families that hang out together on a regular basis, so we wanted to do something a little different around the holidays.  The guys decided to play Top Golf during the day.  They knew the dinner started at 6:00 and needed to be home early to help the wives get ready.  Well at 5:45 they come pulling in the driveway.  They knew they were in trouble.  So instead of saying anything, they all went to their own houses, took showers, and put on their best suit.  All the moms and kids had gathered at the Appetizer House, so we were shocked to see our hubbies walk in with suits on!  We had some music playing, so then they dads decided to dance with their daughters.  Yep, the mommas really couldn't be mad anymore after seeing how happy the girls were.
Joel and Mollypop... so sweet!
Here are some other pics from the night:
At the Dinner House, apparently the girls got my IPad and decided to take pics of themselves.
I found this the next day.  Lol.
I guess another one of the girls started playing photographer.
A shot of the guys after dinner.  (Yes, Jim wore a tux.)
Fun times!

Christmas

It was a whirlwind trip to Oklahoma, but we had a great Christmas!  Molly made a haul in the toy department and we ate way too much food, but I guess that contributes to a successful holiday!  :)

We started Saturday morning, with our annual Christmas goodie baking with my long time BFF, Shannon, and her daughter, Madison.

The kids love to decorate the cookies... and as you can see below, they turn out great!  Lol.

Mmmm... Bon Bons... our favorite!

Saturday night, we headed to Dry Gulch to experience the Christmas train!  This was our first year to attend, but it won't be our last!  We want to go again next year!
Carrie and Drake             Mimi, Molly, Gina (Gigi), and Drake

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at Donna and Bill's.  We had a great time hanging out with everyone... and of course, Molly loved her presents!

She got a big horse!
Santa knows my lil Diva well!  :)

For Christmas lunch, we drove to Coffeyville to be with Mom, Dave, Grandma, and Grandpa and the rest of the gang!
A big princess castle!
It's a tradition that Jeff and I do the wishbone.  We were trying to pass it on to our kids.  Fail.

For Christmas dinner, we headed to Grand Lake to be with Dad and Karen.

Molly felt the need to put on all the clothes she received.
I think she has on about 3 layers here.
I love this pic of Drake.  It shows his personality so well... always scheming!
These 2 big kids were just glad to relax a little bit from the day's festivities!

These 2 little kids were happy to be playing with their toys!

We headed back to Texas on the 26th!  We enjoyed our time in OK, but it was nice to come home and relax.  Hope you all have a Happy New Year!

17 nights

17 nights... That's how long Joel has been gone on this trip to Pecos, TX, BUT he's coming home today!!!!!!!  I'm pretty excited.  This is the longest we've been apart, ever, and I'm ready to kiss his face.  :)  Molly's been missing her Daddy too.  We talk everyday about where he is and when he's coming home.  She was thrilled when I told her Daddy was coming home today!  You can bet there will be 2 anxious girls waiting at the airport to give him hugs!

I'm thankful for a great group of neighbors to help me get through the last couple weeks.  I got sick and they came to my rescue... we've eaten several meals together... and they've invited us over for play dates so I can get some adult conversation.  Here's a pic of our little angels from last night.

We're headed back to Oklahoma on Friday to spend time with our family for Christmas!  We're looking forward to a great trip!  Hope you all get to spend some quality time with the ones you love too!

"Goober's a Silly Elf!"

So this is our first year to do Elf on the Shelf. We read the book and asked Mollypop to pick a name. She thought for a second and said, "How about Goober?" So Goober it is! She had a problem with Goober leaving our house every night to go to the North Pole though. She was literally in tears with the thought of Goober leaving (even though I explained he'd be back in the morning). Anyway, we decided maybe Goober could just call Santa to report back on how she's doing. Every morning when Mollypop wakes up, we go look to see what Goober has done. And every morning she says, "Goober's a silly elf!" Here are a few pics of what he's been up to...

I really hope we don't have a melt down when Goober has to go back to the North Pole when Christmas is over!
